Soaring on Eagles wings.

These lovely little birds were out under the Gravillia and lemon tree yesterday, there seems to be a whole family of them. I would love to know what kind they are as our bird guide does not give a similar picture of them.
A few weeks after this was first posted we discovered these are the femals and young male Satin Bower Birds.

Same again.

Things got very noisey yesterday afternoon and when we went out we saw why. There were 2 Wedge-tailed Eagles wandering the skies looking for lunch. Here is one of them.

And now the two together.

Some very brave Magpies decide to get rid og them and start to attack them mid-air. Not that they can do much damage as they are basically just an annoyance to the eagles but the eagels took the hint and left the area.

We just have to walk a few steps to get fresh lemonas and oranges. Here is one of our lemon trees.
